Every year, nearly half a million visitors descend on the tiny desert town of Pushkar in rural Rajasthan to attend the annual Pushkar Camel Fair.

This five-day festival held during the full moon of the Hindu month of Kartik, which usually falls in late October/early November

Festivities include moustache-length competitions and camel races, and there’s even a camel beauty pageant !

Funfairs and sideshows like you have never seen before appear along with magicians, snake charmers and acrobats

Its an incredible spectacle and a Photographers dream, join us as we go deep into the fair meeting and photographing amazing characters and of course their camels

Before we arrive in Pushkar we start by arriving in Delhi and onto Jodphur known for its intense blue buildings and brightly dressed locals, the combination is a photographic winner

Then we travel to Udaipur for a few days to explore this Holy city with its magnificent lakes and Temples

Then the main event, Pushkar and the Camel Fair, we will spend 5 days there so plenty of time to really enjoy the experience and of course take some wonderful photographs

Pete will be with you during the entire trip to show you how he works and to help you really discover your photographic talent in a very relaxed manner
